Dentures
Why should I get dentures?
Missing multiple teeth can create a lot of problems. It is more difficult to properly eat and speak, detracts from your appearance, and can cause oral health problems, like bone loss, gingivitis, cavities, and shifting teeth. By replacing your missing teeth, dentures can revitalise your smile and improve your quality of life.
How do dentures feel?
Denture technology has improved in recent years. Today’s dentures are made from state-of-the-art materials that look natural and are more comfortable than their predecessors. Dentures can be slightly uncomfortable at first, but once your mouth acclimates, you will feel more comfortable wearing your dentures than not and chewing and speaking will be much easier.
What types of dentures do you offer?
Full dentures
Full dentures replace an entire arch of teeth, either for your upper jaw, lower jaw, or both. They have a gum-coloured base that fits over your gums and are held in place with suction or adhesive that keeps them securely attached.
Partial dentures
Partial dentures can be used if you still have healthy teeth that you want to keep but are missing more teeth than a bridge can sufficiently replace. Just like full dentures, they have a gum-coloured base that fits over your gums, but the base is custom-designed to have openings in it where you still have healthy teeth.
Implant-supported dentures
Implant-supported dentures provide a more technologically advanced way to keep your dentures secure. Your dentures are attached to dental implants, which are small, titanium posts that are surgically implanted into your jaw and function as artificial tooth roots. They also provide healthy stimulation to your jawbone, which can help prevent bone loss and facial sagging.
